John J. Fontana, CEO
John brings over 18 years of institutional real estate experience, with a proven track record in underwriting, acquisitions, development, and asset management, totaling over $6.5 billion in closed transactions. He was previously successful in the launch and scaling of one of the largest independent blood plasma operators in the U.S. John holds an M.B.A in Corporate Finance & Entrepreneurship from New York University Stern School of Business and a B.S. in Real Estate Finance from New York University Schack Institute of Real Estate.
Eddie Chabbott, CIO
Eddie has over 16 years of institutional alternative investment experience, specializing in niche asset classes and platform investments. His extensive investment background includes multiple platforms across various industries, including healthcare. Eddie previously held senior leadership roles at Jadian Capital and BlueMountain Capital Management, with additional experience at JPMorgan and Goldman Sachs. He earned his B.S. in International Business and Finance from New York University Stern School of Business.
Peter M. Jaworski, Ph.D., Senior Advisor
Peter is a recognized expert on the ethics and economics of blood plasma collection and patient access to plasma-derived therapies, with over 16 years of experience in research and education in the industry. He provides invaluable insight and strategic direction for Alpha-1’s investment opportunities and assists in navigating the evolving plasma market landscape. Peter holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Bowling Green State University, an MSc. degree in Philosophy & Public Policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from Queen’s University.
